- 19 and older
- 18 and older for: U.S. Armed Forces or Honorably Discharged
- Prerequisites
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, and a resident of Missouri (or a member of the Armed Forces stationed in Missouri, or their spouse)
- Must possess a valid Missouri driver's license, state ID, or other government-issued photo ID with proof of county residence (such as a utility bill or voter registration card)
- Must not have any Felony convictions (or pending felony charges)
- Must not have any violent misdemeanor convictions within the last 5 years
- Must not have two or more convictions for driving under the influence (DUI) or controlled substance misdemeanors within the last 5 years
- Must not be a fugitive from justice
- Must not have a dishonorable discharge from the military
- Must not have been adjudicated mentally incompetent within the past 5 years or currently committed to a mental health facility
- Must not have an active order of protection against you
- Required Equipment
- Pen and Paper
- Pistol with at least 40 rounds of training ammunition (NO LIVE AMMO IN THE CLASSROOM AT ANY TIME)
- Hearing and Eye protection
- If you need a firearm provided please let us know before the course date ($30 rental fee - includes ammunition)

There is NO written test. The shooting portion of the class only takes a few minutes and by the time you leave the classroom it will be one of the easiest things you’ve ever done.
